- Install BlueMon bluetooth manager ( replaces gnome-bluetooth ) and install ipheth from a PPA using the following instructions:
- Make Ethernet-Tethering again available on the iPhone using a patch from Cydia:
- Maybe you need to do this too:
- Optional/needed: remove PDANet and like applications
- Some reboots
- Reinstall of gvfs gvfs-backends gvfs-bin gvfs-fuse
- Both Bluetooth and USB tethering work fine!
- When USB is connected, NewWorkManager automatically connects to the iPhone and starts tethering
- When Bluetooth is used, use the BlueMon manager and initiate connection. NetworkManager then starts to connect to the iPhone and starts tethering. Sometimes I need to connect twice before it works.
